Just clearing up some things rather than separate posts that would only be a few lines long.
Comments. Since July, we have been trialling a new way of moderating comments that has allowed us to offer the option of editing existing comments as well as ways to remove the need for moderation on most comments. We are pleased to say that feedback on editing is positive, and this will now be a permanent feature on the site.
We are continuing to monitor the feedback from the automatic approval of comments option. It works well for most people, but there are four posters who, despite us saying it a hundred times, continue to repost when they do not see the comment appear right away. We receive the comment the moment you hit post, even if you can’t see it. All that is happening is the automated system is flagging it for a check. Posting again either on a copy and paste or another post right away (seconds) with a complaint only causes you to be marked as spam. Your comment will then not appear, nor will any others, until one of us clears it.
There will come a time shortly when we will not bother unblocking these accounts.
Article Frequency – We are all volunteers. Other than a few amazing people who help us, we pay Meow Mix’s costs out of our own pockets. We research and make sure our articles can be proven in court. We all have families and jobs. Some of us have very real disabilities. Some of us have family members who are fighting for life in hospital. The current site owner has just started stage 2 of CART therapy. A transplant process in all but name. Maybe, just maybe, give them a break. We did try to counter these issues by asking readers to give guest articles. Despite people saying yes, we have not received ONE article despite the vocal popularity of the idea.
Madvent – In honour of our dearly departed converted Jessica to Christianity, we are running our own Madvent alternative. Every day a short post, a memory, a video or picture and the off Jessica Yaniv-based Christmas Carol. It is a month-long day-long celebration of everything our spiritual goddess of femininity, Ms Jessica Yaniv Simpson, has achieved in life. Tell us in the comments what you want to see included!
