Just when reports of Rexy being aggressive on campus – lunging at students in the food courts and parking lot are starting to circulate, Jonny hired a lawyer to prepare his defence to the dog bite action. As we have learned from the dozens of lawsuits over the years, Yaniv only hires a lawyer when very worried. The response filed, as seen below, follow his usual method of deny, deny, deny.
If this goes to court, Jonny may have to finally provide verifiable documentation that Rexy is a trained, certified service dog. If he cannot, then it is very likely that Rexy will be determined to be an aggressive dog and Jonny will be deemed to be a negligent owner.
It also appears that despite their best efforts, Jonny’s strata has not been able to sever themselves from this lawsuit. In other words, they will be on the hook as well for all of Jonny’s Strata related bills. Miriam will be on the hook for his alone. Yaniv has not yet paid the strata the $3,400+ that he owes after having lost to them in the BCCRT in June of this year. The strata was successful in putting a lien on the property and are hopefully working on a forced sale. Of course if this lawsuit is successful, and there’s no reason why it wouldn’t be, Yaniv will very likely need to sell The Pigloo to pay the costs anyway.
More documents will be filed in the next 35 days and we will of course obtain them and post them for dissemination.
