Several weeks ago Jessica Yaniv Simpson was scheduled to appear in court to confirm a trial date for his assault charge. Neither Yaniv nor his lawyer appeared, which resulted in the Crown prosecutor applying for a warrant for Yaniv’s arrest. The Judge will review this application today.
As of 9:30 am PST, Andrew Coulthard, Yaniv’s lawyer, is present in the virtual Surrey courtroom. MeowMix will provide real time update as they come in.

Coulthard and his moustache appeared in court on behalf of Yaniv and confirmed the trial date
There was no mention of the warrant application, which tells me that this is likely a case where Crown filed the application and if Coulthard didn’t appear today they would get it, but since he did appear it goes back to business as usual.
Yaniv’s trial is scheduled for June 25, 2021 in Surrey Courtroom 101.
