In 2025, after having the BC CRT determine a MEME photograph of a topless fat man holding a hot dog Weiner, was an intimate image of Jessica Simpson aka Jonathan Yaniv – Yaniv used this claim to have multiple X accounts suspended for showing the MEME and filed a claim against X Corp (Twitter) for merely geofencing the MEME image rather than removing it globally. The BC CRT dismissed Yaniv’s damage claims but did FINE the X Corp $100,000 CAD. X Corp filed a proper legal claim in the BC Supreme Court to have the case judicially reviewed. A publication ban was slapped on the case AFTER it was published publicly.
